What we collect

To create your profile, we ask for details like your name, age, marital status, education, job, income, city or country, family background and match requirements, along with your WhatsApp number.

Photos are optional. If you fill in a form on our website, we also keep what you submit, plus basic visit data such as pages viewed, collected through cookies.

When you pay the registration fee, we record the payment reference only.

Who can see your profile

Hamsafar works as a verified WhatsApp community. Your group profile and WhatsApp number are shared with verified members so interested families can contact you. We check members before adding them and remove fake profiles, agents and matchmakers.

We never sell or rent your information. We only share it outside the community if the law requires it, or to deal with fraud or harassment.

Please be aware that we can't stop someone from taking a screenshot. So share only what you're comfortable with other members seeing.

Photos

A girl's picture is never demanded directly. Requests must come through a responsible female family member, and photos are shared only with the family's consent.

Forwarding anyone's photo is a serious violation.

How members must treat your information

Every member agrees to our Group Rules. Sharing profiles, pictures, numbers or family details in other groups or on social media is strictly banned. So is harassment, repeated messaging, or contacting someone after they've said "No."

Anyone who breaks these rules is removed without notice and without a refund.

If your information is misused, tell our admin right away.

Verification is your family's responsibility

We keep the community genuine, but we can't confirm every detail a member provides. Before finalising a rishta, please verify identity, family, education, job, income and marital status yourself.

Hamsafar is not responsible for any fraud or dispute between families.

How long we keep your data

  1. Your profile stays active while your registration is active.
  2. Once a rishta is finalised, please inform the admin and we'll remove it. You can also ask us to remove it at any time.
  3. After removal, we keep only basic records, such as payment and complaint history, to handle disputes and keep removed members out.

Copies that other members saved on their own phones are outside our control.

WhatsApp and third parties

Our groups run on WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta. Anything shared there is also covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can message our admin at any time to view, correct or remove your profile, or to withdraw your photo. We aim to respond within 7 working days.

The registration fee is non-refundable in all cases.

Age

Our service is for adults aged 18 and above only.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page and announce major changes in our groups.
